I read Silver Linings Playbook in about 2 days. It is not a hard read and it makes it extra easy because the chapters are extremely short (I LOVE books with short chapters). I haven't seen the movie yet but I really enjoyed the book. It wasn't exactly as good as everyone else made it out to be but it was delightful. Basic, straight forward writing + characters that draw you in = a fun and emotional story that is real and leaves you rooting for love no matter what the obstacles are.
Have you read the book or seen the movie? What do you think of the story line? I'm looking forward to the movie - well, okay - I'm looking forward to Bradley Cooper!
I had told you to read the book - because I LOVED the book, but hated the movie. Bradley Cooper was nice to look at and Jennifer was a doll and perfect for the role, but they strayed WAY far away from the original story, plot, characters. The casting seemed horrible compared to how I envisioned the characters. I'd skip the movie if I were you and just re-read the book in a few years. It ruined it for me. :(
