I saw this blog post (Thoughts on Creativity ... Keeping the Fire Burning) recently from one of my favourite blogs: Her Library Adventures. I found it very timely when it comes to my life right now - and extremely inspiring. I thought I would share it with all my friends out there.

a recent watch
Last night my husband brought home a DVD copy of The Hobbit from his work. After dinner we popped it in the DVD player and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I had heard a lot of reviews saying it was lame, tried to add too much comedy to the story line and characters and that it just wasn't as good as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I really enjoyed the Lord of the Rings series and I thought that The Hobbit fit in perfectly. My only question/concern would be that they are taking one book and stretching it into three movies but - you gotta love Hollywood! :) Did you see The Hobbit - love or hate?

a recent read
I read Silver Linings Playbook in about 2 days. It is not a hard read and it makes it extra easy because the chapters are extremely short (I LOVE books with short chapters). I haven't seen the movie yet but I really enjoyed the book. It wasn't exactly as good as everyone else made it out to be but it was delightful. Basic, straight forward writing + characters that draw you in = a fun and emotional story that is real and leaves you rooting for love no matter what the obstacles are.
Have you read the book or seen the movie? What do you think of the story line? I'm looking forward to the movie - well, okay - I'm looking forward to Bradley Cooper!
