dear santa, i forgot to ask for ...

My girlfriend and I were talking the other day about her charm bracelet, and how she loves to collect charms for each special occasion and milestone in her life. She has a knock-off bracelet but would like to one day invest in an official Pandora bracelet.

When my husband and I were walking through the mall before Christmas, I noticed a Pandora store and it got me thinking that - after becoming a mom - I would like one too to help me remember all the special moments in my life. I am not a huge fan of the dangling charm bracelets (even though I could definitely get behind a Tiffany one) but could really see myself wearing one of Pandora's bead style charm bracelets.

So Santa (a.k.a. Hubby) - keep this on your list, and here is some inspiration. I am pretty sure I will be nice the whole year through!

We know that this Christmas will be different since having a newborn - we are scaling back on gifts this year with me being on maternity leave. But some of our traditional gift giving will remain the same - and a few people have asked for my wish list. It's only fair to oblige. :)

What's on your Christmas wish list this year?

 

charlotte's 1st christmas wish list

Charlotte will only be 2 and a half months for her first Christmas but her family and friends have asked for her wish list - ha ha. I don't know what my husband and I will do for her this year (if anything but I am sure Santa will bring her something special) but I do want to start the Want, Need, Wear, Read Christmas gift giving. I think it will keep me focussed when all I want to do is spoil her rotten! :)

Every year my parents and their best friends head across the line for Shop 'Til You Drop - getting the most from the American Thanksgiving Black Friday sales. My mom asked for some Charlotte ideas so I sent her this list:

When I was planning our wedding, the theme was "Fall/Pumpkins". I was on the hunt for some pumpkin related accents and couldn't find anything that worked. We got married September 25, 2010 so you would think that leading up to September, I would be able to find fall/Halloween decor everywhere. You would THINK this but it wasn't the case. Fast forward to 2011 and 2012 right before September - PUMPKINS EVERYWHERE IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES! My girlfriend is getting married November 10, 2012 and when she started planning her wedding, she wanted a little white owl on each table to represent her Grandma. When she began her search, she could only find one or two choices and way out of her price range. Now - every single store on the planet has owls - in all shapes, sizes and price points. Because of her obsession with finding the perfect addition to her centerpieces, I have now got a ceramic, glossy white owl obsession. I now have 5 in our bedroom and find myself looking every time I go into a home decor store. Anywho - long story long - I think this needs to be added to my obsession collection. Happy Monday friends!

I am almost finished listening to Ellen's audiobook "Seriously ... I'm Kidding" in my car to and from work. I was really looking forward to this when my name came up for it at the library but honestly - I cannot wait for it to be over. Normally I love you Ellen but these three discs are PAINFUL. I am annoyed beyond anything but more annoyed with myself or not just turning it off and suffering until the end. I do that sort of thing - I have an obsession with completion. Candles are good for me that way - they burn until they disappear ... something to nothing. Love it!
