halloween planning?

Baby Girl isn't due until October 25th and I know she will come in her own time, but it's a fact that most first babies are late. That being said, Halloween is mine and my husband's favourite holiday so no matter when she comes, she will be surrounded by all sorts of spooky goodness. I will wait until a bit closer to my due date but how cute is this Halloween costume? I am dying of cuteness overload. My husband says to just buy it but I am going to wait. Even though it's really hard to.

Costume available here.

My niece and nephew are going to be Tinkerbell and Peter Pan for Halloween this year. I can't believe that we are already into September and parents have to buy costumes now or they will miss out. Do you know what your child is going to be for Halloween this year? Would love to see the photos friends!

what I did for halloween

I got all my Halloween accessories on, ordered pizza and handed out candy ...

And then we watched this. I am not usually an Adam Sandler fan (except for 50 First Dates) but this movie was hilarious. Helped me laugh away my anger at all the kids who showed up WITHOUT costumes on last night! Who does that?!!

around here ...

I just finished listening to this audiobook and although it wasn't my favourite Kristin Hannah story, it definitely had a enough twist and turns in the relationships of the characters to keep me interested.

I am currently more than half way through Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and I am gobbling it up like I've starved myself for a year. I cannot put it down. It is as interesting and good as everyone says it is. Holy sociopaths people! It makes me think how many regular, Joe blow, every day people out there are actually nut jobs! I wish I didn't have soccer practice tonight so I could go straight home and curl up in bed and read. It is that good. Check it out ... perfect time of the year for a chilly, crazy read :)

If you know me even a little bit you know that a) I love holidays and b) Halloween is by far my favourite holiday. This year we don't have any set plans but I am enjoying all the photos, ideas and posts out there in the blog world about the spooky holiday. Cannot wait until I have kids so I can dress them up (I will dress up with them of course), decorate the house and create Halloween traditions. So fun!

I am working on this. Everyday I am working on this.

Loving this and feeling inspired and ... more than enough.

Happy hump day friends. Enjoy the middle of the week. It isn't Friday but it is still good! xo

Just finished listening to these audiobooks and I highly recommend them. A great piece of chick lit by the always entertaining Jennifer Weiner and another beautiful story by Kristin Hannah ...

Just finished watching and continue to love ...

A random movie from the library. Reserved it because of a recommendation from a co-worker. Oh Donald ...

Currently watching ...

Currently reading ...

And just because I LOVE Halloween and I LOVE Paul Frank ....

monday morning update ... happy halloween weekend!

Friday ... Had Indian food (yummy) with Alli and Rob. Then went back home and upstairs for drinks and watched Trick r Treat (boo - wanted a scary Halloween movie but this was not one of those). Chad was so tired that he went to bed at about 10 and I stayed up watching TV and drinking wine by myself. Quite nice and cozy actually.

Saturday ... Chad made me french toast and then we did some grocery shopping. Then got ready and headed to Jim and Dixie's for the annual Halloween party. Only about 20 people there but it was so much fun (as always). Most likely the last one in that house so it was a night to remember :)

Sunday ... Woke up super early from sleeping on my parent's floor WITH Chad's dog on top of me - ha ha. Went to McDick's for breaky (cannot remember the last time I have eaten there) and then home. Was so cold so it took me forever to warm up but then I finally crashed again for a few hours - my day was so screwed up with the time change. Woke up in time for our 2 pm soccer game in Surrey. We lost 2 to 1 - BOO! Then home to take Chad out to look at a house (not impressed) and then Lasagna dinner and Transformers 2.
