Reading Room

So I've switched gears ... I just couldn't get into it so A upstairs dropped off a new book for me to give a go. Haven't started it but it is supposed to be quirky and funny so I am looking forward to it! Happy Friday Kids!

Happy Fri ... er ... Thursday!

I have a long weekend coming my way so today is MY Friday - and I couldn't be more happy or excited! I was supposed to go away this weekend but like all the best laid plans ... plans got changed. C is away on a boys fishing weekend so I am 99.9.% sure I am going to stay home and tackle my to do list:
  • Finally watch and do the Yoga DVD that I bought MONTHS ago.
  • Watch the end of Harry Potter ... can you believe I fell asleep with 1/2 an hour to go?!
  • Clean out my fridge and freezer. There is a smell I MUST diagnose.
  • Go to the gym. Without C there - we will see if this happens.
  • Clean the bathroom. ALWAYS a must!
  • Go through my jewelry and get rid of what I no longer love or wear.
  • Find some way to patch up the hole in my favourite soccer shorts.
  • Change my fish tank water.
  • Call my Grandma.
  • Call my Brother.
  • Buy a colour cartridge for my printer.
  • Work on our soccer teams' "Booze Basket Fundraiser".
Wish me luck! What are your plans for one of the last weekends of the summer?

Some days ...

Blackberry vs. iPhone ... Which to choose?

It's coming to that time ... my Fido contract is up for renewal and I want to venture into the realm of SmartPhones. But - which to choose? What is your vote and why? I need help!

Good Morning

There is something about a hot cup of tea that I just find utterly relaxing these days. This is a new experience for me as I am not a coffee drink and, in the past, my only brush with tea was at my Grandma's house (the odd occasion that I THOROUGHLY enjoyed though I might add!)

Today is Wednesday which in my work's neck of the woods equals to "Welfare Wednesday". No - I don't work at the Welfare Office but it is in the same building block which means a full 8 hours of entertaining passer-byers. Never a dull moment I tell you!

I was thinking on my way to work how Fall is for sure on its way. You can smell Autumn in the wind and when I went to put something in the recycling box last night outside, it was damn cold! Summer is passing us by so I am hoping to spend the next few weeks enjoying the last moments of warm sunshine. My thoughts about Fall made me think of something else as well ... how old am I when I find myself CONSTANTLY talking about the weather and gas prices. When the heck did that happen? Seriously ... is it all down hill after 30!??

Happy Hump Day Kids!

Favourite Things

This product is amazing! Not only does it smell WONDERFUL, for me, it works! I love Saje in general but I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to just take a moment to breathe deep and relax!

Wish List

This is by far the best party game I have ever played. Great for a group of people who have known each other for years (aka - Family) or for a group of people who just met (aka - Scary Friend Dinner Party). Enjoy!

Reading Room

I am currently reading "Learning Curves" by Gemma Townley. I have read some of her other books and LOVED them. Great chicklit and very easy reads but this one ... I just can't seem to get into it. Maybe it is because I just finished off the four Twilight books and my brain needs a break! Will not quit though - plan on getting into this one over the weekend.

Wish List

This is the first official item on my Wish List! I saw this item on Design Crush and I was instantly smitten! I can picture one of these on a patio or tucked away under a tree in a small back yard. Instant inspiration and beauty! I love them all!

Here. I. Go.

Here. I. Go. My first official blog entry. Wow. I feel so ... inspired! What a great, amazing and wonderful feeling! I have kept a blog for about a year now but have kept it private because I quickly realized that I was just using it as a way of storing ideas, rather than any information I actually wanted to share with anyone.

One of the best days of my life (okay - I am a bit sarcastic but whatever) was the day I discovered Google Reader. Suddenly I had a way of keeping track of all the daily inspirational blogs I read - without having to check in on each one individually. This was almost a magical experience for me! I have been engrossed in design, craft, fashion, gossip blogs ever since. They seriously get me through the day. It also got me thinking ... I am a crafty gal - why not start my own blog so I can be a part of that world! And here I am!

My goal is to get my creative energy flowing so that I spend more time on the things I love doing. I am hoping this will be a step in the right direction. I dream of one day opening my own Etsy shop and quitting my day job ... let's see what happens!
